Sports And Action Photography Tip Number 2....A Fast Shutter Button Finger is a Must Have
Tip #2) You Need A Fast Shutter Button Finger.... In order to get great action sports photographs, you need to keep your finger on the shutter button at all times and when you think something good is going to happen, like a hockey player scoring a goal, or a football player scoring a touchdown or making a great catch, you need to hold the shutter button down until the action has stopped.
Great Deals On Digital SLR's!
If you try and just take a couple photos of some great action, then most likely you will miss the great stuff. Great action sports happens so fast, so you can't rely on your reaction time to take the great photo at the exact time that it happens. Human reaction time is just too slow to catch the perfect moment in 1 or 2 seconds of sports.
You need to let your camera help capture the perfect shot, by taking as many photos in that 1 to 2 seconds as possible. Of course if you have a really expensive camera like the Nikon D3 or Canon EOS-1D Mark III, then it will help a whole lot by taking 20 or more shots in that 1 to 2 seconds, but if you have a cheaper camera that can take 10 shots in that time, then you should still be able to capture some great sports photos.
So remember one of the most important action sports photography tips is to keep your finger on the shutter button and when great action is happening hold the shutter button down until the action has stopped. Remember also to have lot's of memory card space because you will need it taking sports photography, which leads us to our next action sports photography tip, click "Next tip" below.
